Our very own Black Knight Charge 6 mile and junior 2 mile race took place on Wednesday 22nd July 2026.
It was a brilliant evening with a fabulous turnout. There were 184 finishers in the senior race and 22 in the junior race.
Salford’s Thomas Manton won the senior race in a very quick 34.20. East Cheshire’s first athlete home was Brandon Kenyon-Betts with a tremendous run to finish 3rd in 35.21. Ex-ECH and now Salford Katie Reynolds had a strong run to win the women’s race with 41.12. Imogen Gush was first ECH athlete home in a solid 46.53. East Cheshire won the men’s team race with Salford taking the women’s team win.
Micah Kenyon-Betts won the junior 2 mile race in 11.55 in a close race with Edward Knight (11.57) and Jacob Shearing (12.00) finished 2nd and 3rd respectively making it a 1,2,3 for ECH. It was another 1,2,3 for ECH in the girls race with Erin McMahon taking the win in 13.06, with Demi Baxter 2nd (13.27) and Olivia Goff 3rd (13.56).
