East Chesh turns Wilmslow Green and Gold!
Sunday 22nd March 2026 will be remembered for a while at ECH HQ! The Wilmslow Running Festival held its annual fun run, 10k and half marathon races as it does every March. And our athletes took 2 race wins on the day.
First up in the fun run was Erin McMahon taking the top step on the female podium with a time of 8:58, closely followed home by brother James with the 2 working together and James finishing 5th male overall.
The other race win came in the 10k event where in form Mike Holness came home as 1st male with a PB performance of 32:12 to seal the victory and land the gold medal.
Lots of interest in the half marathon with Tom McMahon taking our highest male finisher place, with Katie Kay our highest female finisher who by also finishing 3rd in her age category means a successful race qualification for another England vest!
A brilliantly organised event that year on year brings out PBs for many of our athletes. Thanks to all involved.
