Tour of Tameside 2026

The Iconic Tour of Tameside returned for another year in 2026. Now branded ‘The Tour’, took place from 18th -21st June and 20 ECH athletes completed the gruelling 4 day event. This includes The X Trail 10k, Hell on the Fell 6 miles, Hero Half Marathon and Ron Hill Hyde 7 miles.

Brandon Kenyon-Betts had another fantastic Tour, finishing a very impressive 4th place overall and 1st under 20. Brandon improved his times on every stage compared to last year and had a brilliant run in the half marathon. Oliver Walker at the age of 17 had an unbelievable debut full tour finishing 5th overall and 2nd under 20. Much more to come in the coming years from Oliver!

Well done to all for completing this tough challenge and any ECH athletes who completed an individual race.

Finally, well done to all the amazing children who took part in the one mile fun run on the last day in Hyde. ECH took the top 5 positions with a dominant team performance. James McMahon took the win with Erin McMahon in 2nd place (and first female). It was great to see you all out there and having fun!
